What is different about the Alpes Open Tour event?
We are once again Official Partners of the 5th Edition Alpes Open Tour 2012. The details for our package and the events route are below and our places are NOW OPEN!!!!!!!

Alpcycles.com thinks that there is no event quite like this on the cycling calendar, which totally captures a roadies love of all aspects of the sport. What other sportive gives the field the chance to ride with up to 10 Pro Tour Professional riders!!!!!
The 2010/2011 pro-cyclists included:

Over 5 days of riding each stage covers roughly 100 – 120km per day over 6 days in the mountains, climbing many mythical climbs, and some lesser known secrets. It has fantastic support, with perfectly placed feed stations and mechanical support.

Here it is! The Alpes Open Tour 2012 route………to get your legs twitching!!! We think it is a great 5 day loop in the Southern Alps, which will challenge you and leave you with tired legs, fantastic memories and a very big smile!!!!
Sunday 12th August: Arrival day
Arrive into Lyon International Airport (LYS) by 1200 noon and be collected by the Alpcycles.com team and driven to a 3 Star hotel in the resort of Vaujany.
Monday 13th August: 100km
VAUJANY - Bourg d’Oisans – the 21 Bends of Alpe d’Huez – Col de Sarenne- Col du Lautaret – SERRE CHAVALIER
Tuesday 14th August: 100km
Saturday 18th August: Departure day
After breakfast, the Alpcycles.com team will transfer you to Lyon International Airport (LYS) for 1200 noon to catch your flight home. Please ensure flights are not scheduled to depart until at least 2pm.
The cost of this fully catered package per person is:
- Registration fees for the whole 6 day event (limited exclusively to 80 participants maximum)
